Terms of use

The rules for playing. Short version: play fair, one account each, and the logos belong to their owners.

Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be relied on. It describes how the site currently works and will be finalised before launch.

Agreeing to these terms

By using exprand.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They are between you and Centurion Creatives, REVIEW — add the registered address before launch.

The game

Exprand publishes one puzzle a day. We do our best to publish every day and to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee either, and we may change how the game works.

Past puzzles are not playable. The archive is a record of what each puzzle was, not a way to play it later.

Your account

  • One account per person.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Choose a gamertag that is not offensive, and that does not impersonate another person or suggest you are connected with us or with a featured brand.
  • You can play without an account, but guest results are not ranked and are not kept beyond the day.

Fair play

You agree not to:

  • use scripts, bots or any automated means to play, or to submit guesses;
  • try to obtain the answer other than by playing — including by probing the site, inspecting network traffic, or creating additional identities to spend extra guesses;
  • interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or test its security without our written permission;
  • scrape the site, or use it to build a competing dataset.

Where we believe a result was not obtained by fair play we may remove it from the leaderboard, reset statistics, or suspend the account.

Trademarks and brand content

The logos shown in the game are the property of their respective owners. They are used to identify the brands they denote, for the purpose of a quiz and accompanying factual commentary. Their inclusion does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those brand owners.

Every puzzle names the owner of the mark, links to the source the image was taken from, and links to the brand’s official page.

If you own or represent a brand and would like it removed, email hello@exprand.com. We will remove it from rotation promptly and reply within five working days.

Our content

The game, its design, the written facts and the statistics we publish belong to Centurion Creatives. You may share your result and link to the site. You may not copy the site or reuse its content commercially without our permission.

What you submit

Your guesses and difficulty ratings are records of how the game went. You give us permission to keep them and to include them in aggregate statistics, as described in our privacy policy. Those statistics never identify you.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of streaks, scores or rankings.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and continued use means you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of REVIEW — add the governing jurisdiction before launch, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
